On Nothing (As a concept)

I first began thinking about nothing through thinking about the number zero. The idea of giving nothing a material symbol means it is an inaccurate representation. The material world does not find use in nothing's existence, it is a concept that majority of humans cannot truly comprehend in exception to specific disability or death. In life we characterize the complete "lack" of existence with a material attribute, like seeing death as peaceful or the idea of an afterlife. Where the soul persists death-- giving death's inherent nothingness a material body and effectively makng it null. You're giving nothing something therefore making it something.

Humanity's attempt of comprehending nothing only leads to giving it meaning, no longer making it nothing. Nothing isn't a lack of something as the notion means that there was ever something in the first place. Lacking a material item is something that can only be possible in a material world. Humans are so fixated on defining the world on what already exists that we struggle to understand "alien perspectives". A prime example of which being the recent discovery of a sea animal being able to see without eyes (Ophiocoma Wendtii). By making comparisons based on a lack of or a presence of makes humans not being able to comprehend what truly does not exist.

Nothing is inherently undefineable because it ceases to be exist the moment it is acknowledged, we are not made out of nothing, this world is not made out of nothing, so we will never understand what nothing is. I believe the only instances where humanity is capable of understanding nothing is how people with specific disabilities can experience nothing-- like the blind, the deaf, the tasteless, etc;. However this ability to comprehend nothing in our material world has been correlated with a lack of what has already existed. Being deaf is seen as a lack of hearing and being blind is seen as a lack of eyesight. These individuals are however able to comprehend a small taste of what nothing is. How the blind does not see black but sees nothing, how the deaf does not hear silence but hears nothing.

The universe is ultimately a large coat of nothing with pockets of atomic reactions, and it’s fibers-- it’s smallest building blocks are nothing as well. This nothing that does not exist makes it something we will truly fail to comprehend. As the law of nothing makes it so as the even act of thinking about it inherently gives it meaning, significance, a material connection, and again making it null; no longer nothing. It’s fascinating how this phenomena is so similar to the zeno effect, where even the act of viewing atoms influences how the atoms act compared to when the atoms are not perceived.

Comprehending nothing is the antithesis of truly understanding what nothing is, perceiving nothing as a lack of something– a negative does not make accurate. A negative or a loss of something is inherently tied to the dynamic of the material world. Nothing is something else entirely. Nothing truly exists when you do not notice it is there, when you do not think about its existence. To acknowledge its existence leads to inaccurate conclusions, to deny its existence is inherently false. You cannot truly comprehend it because we are inherently material, and it is the antithesis of what we are.

Nothing is not a deactivated social media page, it is the account that which does not exist until you have stumbled upon it. The time frame where you have yet to view a page you have never encountered is being able to experience nothing. Nothing is forgetting why you walked into a room. Nothing would be trying to comprehend your parent's life before they had you, or a friend's life before they met you. Trying to imagine a life that has existed before you were even aware of the other person only leads to inaccuracy. You'll need to make up something you know is not a reflection of reality, but denying it just as stupid. You are only using what you were given in your mental vicinity to attempt to grapple a concept you will never truly understand. Making it both something that does not exist yet exists at the same time. By not thinking about it, it is at it’s most accurate. Knowing you will never truly understand what someone has done before you met them is more accurate to knowing them than making up something to give yourself an idea of their experiences.

Is this going to deeply impact anyone or anything? No. Is it accurate? No. Is this just some giant nothing burger because I am quite literally talking about nothing? Yes.
